PITMAN, N.J. – For the second straight week, freshman JT DeRiso (River Vale, N.J./Pascack Valley) was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Baseball Rookie Pitcher of the Week Feb. 23.

The River Vale, N.J., native earned his first career save after striking out four batters while allowing just two hits in 3.0 scoreless innings, helping the Pioneers secure a 6-0 win against Mount Aloysius in the Feb. 21 home opener.

DeRiso and the Pioneers are scheduled to return to action Thursday, Feb. 26, for a 2:15 p.m. home game against Arcadia.
