PITMAN, N.J. – Senior Renee Wells (Leonardo, N.J./Middletown South) was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Women's Basketball Player of the Week Dec. 1.

The Leonardo, N.J., native shot 9-of-14 (.474) from the field and 16-of-17 (.941) from the foul line for a career-high 35 points during a 64-54 win at The College of New Jersey Nov. 25. She added 10 rebounds to her stat line for her first double-double of the season.

Her first career 30-point performance helped the Pioneers claim their first road victory against TCNJ since Jan. 4, 2017. The 35 points were the most in a game by a Pioneer since Dec. 3, 2022.

Wells and the Pioneers return to action Wednesday, Dec. 3, for a 5:00 p.m. conference game at Montclair State.
