PITMAN, N.J. – Junior Bella Demers (Maumee, Ohio/Maumee) was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Women's Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week Sept. 28.

The Maumee, Ohio, native recorded a game-high 21 digs (7.00 digs/set) to go with five assists and three aces during a 3-0 home victory against Stockton Sept. 23. She tied her three-set match career-best digs mark.

Demers and the Pioneers return to action Tuesday, Sept. 29, for a 7:00 p.m. road conference game at Rowan.
