WAYNE, N.J. – Senior
Renee Wells (Leonardo, N.J./Middletown South) was named to the D3hoops.com Women's Basketball All-Region IV First Team March 16.
Wells started all 27 games, averaging a team-best 17.2 points per tilt with 5.9 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.0 steals per contest. She posted double-digit points in 25 of 27 games, including eight 20+ scoring performances and one 30+ scoring outing, while recording two double-doubles. She ranked second in the NJAC and first on the team in points per game, additionally finishing second in the conference in free-throw shooting (.814), fourth in field goal percentage (.403), tied for fifth in steals per game and tied for eighth in assists per contest.
She scored a game-high 29 points and grabbed a season-best 13 rebounds in the NJAC Tournament semifinal win against Stockton Feb. 26, sending the Pioneers to the title game for the first time since the 2013-14 campaign.
