PITMAN, N.J. – Junior
Jada Jacobs (Mount Laurel, N.J./Medford Tech) was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week Feb. 9.
It marks the third consecutive week that the Mount Laurel, N.J., native received weekly honors from the conference.
Jacobs averaged 8.0 rebounds, 3.0 steals and 1.5 blocks per game during a 2-0 week for the Pioneers.
She recorded six steals, six rebounds and a block during a 97-49 home triumph over Rutgers-Newark Feb. 4. She then reeled in a game-high 10 rebounds, while adding two blocks, during an 83-65 win at New Jersey City on Feb. 7 to help William Paterson capture the NJAC regular-season title.
Jacobs and the Pioneers return to action Wednesday, Feb. 11, for a 5:30 p.m. game against Kean at the Sports and Recreation Center.
