PITMAN, N.J. – Senior Sarah Mantilla (Fair Lawn, N.J./Fair Lawn) was named the New Jersey Athletic (NJAC) Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week Sept. 29.

Mantilla made eight saves and posted a clean sheet during a 1-0-1 week en route to her second conference weekly honor this season.

The Fair Lawn, N.J., native recorded a save and did not allow a goal during a 4-0 home victory against Lehman Sept. 23. She then denied seven shots, including five in the final 35 minutes, to preserve a 1-1 road draw in the NJAC opener at Stockton on Sept. 27.

Mantilla and the Pioneers return to action Wednesday, Oct. 1, when they host Ramapo for a 6 p.m. conference game.
