PITMAN, N.J. – Freshman Samantha Donovan (Massapequa Park, N.Y./Massapequa) was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week Sept. 15.

The Massapequa Park, N.Y., native scored her first career goal over the weekend, helping the Pioneers capture a 2-1 home win versus Penn State Abington on Sept. 13. Her score came in the 50th minute and turned out to be the game-deciding goal.

Donovan and the Pioneers return to action Wednesday, Sept. 17, for a 7:00 p.m. match at NYU.
