PITMAN, N.J. – Senior Sarah Mantilla (Fair Lawn, N.J./Fair Lawn) was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week Sept. 8.

She recorded 21 saves while allowing just one goal across two matches for the Pioneers this past week. During a home match against Wilkes on Sept. 3, Mantilla made five stops to become the program's all-time leader in career saves with 320.

The Fair Lawn, N.J., native followed that performance with a season-high 16-save outing during a 2-0 win at FDU-Florham Sept. 6.

Mantilla and the Pioneers return to action Wednesday, Sept. 10, for a 3:00 p.m. match at St. Joseph's Long Island in Patchogue, N.Y.
