WAYNE, N.J. – Sophomore
Robert Crehan (Syosset, N.Y./Syosset) and juniors
James Nevels (Wilmington, Del./Delaware Military Academy) and
Caleb Rippey (Lake Hopatcong, N.J./Jefferson Twp.) were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team Jan. 7.
The 2024 Academic All-District® Football Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at their current institution. No student-athlete is eligible until they have completed one full calendar year at their current institution and is at least a sophomore academically and athletically.
Crehan, a psychology and early childhood education double major, made seven extra points and a field goal during his sophomore season as the Pioneers' primary placekicker.
Nevels started in all 10 games, compiling 52 tackles (35 solo) and a team-high three interceptions as a sport management major.
Rippey, a psychology major, started in three of nine games while totaling 188 receiving yards and three touchdowns on 10 receptions.
