Five Pioneers Garner All-NJAC Football Accolades

PITMAN, N.J. – Five Pioneers were named to the All-New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Football Team Nov. 22.

Senior Samod Wingo (North Brunswick, N.J./North Brunswick Twp.) was named to the All-NJAC First Team, while junior Knasir Alston (Asbury Park, N.J./Academy Charter) and senior Nolan Epps (Bay Shore, N.Y./Bay Shore) collected second-team recognition. Junior Quamire Green (Brick, N.J./Donovan Catholic) and senior Jojo Kirby (Lewes, Del./Cape Henlopen) were named to the all-conference honorable mention.

Samod Wingo (North Brunswick, N.J./North Brunswick Twp.): All-NJAC First Team
Wingo, now a three-time all-conference honoree, appeared in five NJAC games during his senior season. The North Brunswick, N.J., native made 21 tackles (13 solo) with 4.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks. He finished tied for 12th in the NJAC in tackles for loss.

Knasir Alston (Asbury Park, N.J./Academy Charter): All-NJAC Second Team
Alston recorded 24 stops (18 solo) with a team-high six pass breakups across six conference outings. He was tied for fourth in the NJAC in pass breakups and tied for seventh in passes defended.

Nolan Epps (Bay Shore, N.Y./Bay Shore): All-NJAC Second Team
During six NJAC games, Epps led the conference in punt returns (15) and punt return yards (177). He was the lone NJAC student-athlete to return a punt for a touchdown during a conference outing.

Quamire Green (Brick, N.J./Donovan Catholic): All-NJAC Honorable Mention
Green was the Pioneers' top tackler in NJAC games. The Brick, N.J., native logged 55 tackles (26 solo) with 5.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks and a forced fumble. He ranked fourth in the conference in total tackles, fifth in solo stops and tied for 10th in tackles for loss.

Jojo Kirby (Lewes, Del./Cape Henlopen): All-NJAC Honorable Mention
Kirby received the all-conference nod for the third time in his career. During his senior campaign, he made 23 tackles (11 solo) with four tackles for loss, a sack and two pass breakups across six NJAC games. The Lewes, Del., native ended his senior campaign ranked inside the top 20 in the conference in tackles for loss.
