PITMAN, N.J. – The sixth-seeded William Paterson men's soccer team (11-6-1, 4-5 NJAC) will begin its quest for a New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Tournament title when the Pioneers play in the first round Saturday, Oct. 27, at third-seeded Rutgers-Camden (13-4-2, 6-2-1 NJAC) at 12:00 p.m.

Rutgers-Camden Community Park; Ticket prices are $5.00 for adults: $2.00 for children, students and senior citizens. WP students with ID will be admitted for free.
WHAT'S ON THE LINE:
The winner advances to the semifinal round Tuesday, Oct. 30, at second-seeded Ramapo (14-2-2, 6-2-1 NJAC) at 2:00 p.m. The highest remaining seed will host the championship match Friday, Nov. 2, at a time to be determined.
WP IN THE NJAC TOURNAMENT:
- The Pioneers have reached the NJAC Tournament for the second straight year, and are in search of their first tourney victory since defeating Rutgers-Newark, 2-1 in overtime, during the 2011 opening round.
- WP is making its ninth appearance in the NJAC Tournament in the last 11 years and its 11th trip overall (1973, 1975, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2017, 2018). The Pioneers are seeking their third conference title (1973, 1975).
SCOUTING THE PIONEERS:
- William Paterson is coming off a 3-2 overtime home loss to Ramapo during the regular-season finale Oct. 24, and finished tied for sixth in the league standings. After winning four straight contests Oct. 8-16, the Pioneers have fallen short during their last two outings.
- Junior midfielder Cameron Allen (Old Bridge, N.J./Saint John Vianney) paces the team in goals (seven), assists (five, tied-eighth in NJAC) and points (19). His three game-winning goals this fall are tied for the fifth-best total in the conference.
- Senior forward Brandon Harley (Pennsauken, N.J./Pennsauken) owns 13 points (6 g, 1 a), and junior forward Keysean Brant-Sharp (East Brunswick, N.J./East Brunswick) has contributed four goals and four assists for 12 points.
- Junior Kyle Quigley (Columbus, N.J./Northern Burlington Regional) has compiled a 1.61 goals-against average, .720 save percentage and two shutouts while starting 14 matches in goal. His 191 career saves are four shy of matching the WP record.
SCOUTING THE SCARLET RAPTORS:
- Rutgers-Camden is coming off a 1-0 victory at Stockton (8-8-3, 4-3-2 NJAC) Oct. 24, and finished tied for second in the conference standings. The Scarlet Raptors are 10-1-1 during their last 12 matches played.
- Sophomore forward Skyler Diggs leads Rutgers-Camden with nine goals and 21 points, adding three assists.
- Junior midfielder Patrick Grudnik has tallied 13 points (5 g, 3 a), and junior midfielder Chris Taraska has dished a team-high seven assists (tied-fourth in NJAC).
- Senior James Brett owns a 0.89 goals-against average, .860 save percentage (first in conference) and three shutouts in 16 starts.
LAST TIME THEY MET:
- William Paterson dropped a 3-1 decision at Rutgers-Camden Oct. 20. After the Pioneers leveled the score at 1-1 at the 39:27 mark on a Kyle Adams (Bordentown, N.J./Northern Burlington Regional) goal, the Scarlet Raptors found the back of the net during the 84th and 89th minutes to secure the win.
