PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Sophomore Jason Koros (Mays Landing, N.J./Oakcrest) was third in the 400 IM (4:22.97) and 100 back (54.01) B Finals to pace the William Paterson men's swimming and diving team during the second day of the Metropolitan Championships Feb. 18 at Rutgers University.

Senior Edward Zappile (Oak Ridge, N.J./Jefferson Twp.) was sixth (4:37.78) and sophomore Alex Carpenter (Jackson, N.J./Jackson Memorial) placed seventh (4:38.62) in the 400 IM C Final.

The 800 free relay of Zappile, Carpenter, Koros and senior Brian Birkbeck (Absecon, N.J./Holy Spirit) touched 12th (7:44.75).

Koros, junior Joseph Pannullo (Hazlet, N.J./Raritan), junior Sebastian Schrils (Washington, N.J./Warren Hills Regional) and Birkbeck finished seventh in the 200 medley relay B Final (1:43.26).

William Paterson will finish competition at the Metropolitan Championships Sunday, Feb. 19.
