HAMPTON, V.A. – The William Paterson men's swimming and diving finished in ninth place with 175 points following the final day of the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Championship.

TOP PERFORMERS:

• Junior Justin Melli (Erma, N.J./Lower Cape May Regional) led the way in the 1650 free with a 20th-place finish (17:54.79), followed by freshman Andre Miguel Ovejas (North Brunswick, N.J./North Brunswick) in 22nd and sophomore Chris Scerbo in 23rd (20:15.46).
• The Pioneers finished eighth in the 400 freestyle relay, with efforts by Melli, sophomore Zak Li (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley), freshman Horain Reid (Trenton, N.J./Trenton Central), and senior Nicky Byrd (Purchase, N.Y./Harrison), finishing with a time of 3:50.02.
