HAMPTON, V.A. – The William Paterson men's swimming and diving team stands in ninth place with 121 points at the conclusion of day three of the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Championship.

TOP PERFORMERS:

• The Pioneers placed ninth in the 200 freestyle relay with efforts by senior Nicky Byrd (Purchase, N.Y./Harrison), junior Zak Li (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley), freshman Horain Reid (Trenton, N.J./Trenton Central), and junior Justin Melli (Erma, N.J./Lower Cape May Regional), finishing with a time of 1:33.00.
• Derek Gutowski (Succasunna, N.J./Roxburry) finished in 24th place in the 400 IM bonus finals, clocking in at 5:17.32.

UP NEXT:

• William Paterson returns to the Hampton Aquaplex on Sunday, Feb. 15, for the final day of the NJAC Championship. Session One begins at 9:30 a.m., followed by the evening session at 5:30 p.m.
