HIGH BRIDGE, N.J. – The William Paterson men's golf team finished third of five teams at the Cyclone Spring Invitational, hosted by Centenary College, on April 8. Stevens (319, +35) placed first, followed by Centenary (325, +41), William Paterson (326, +42), St. Joseph's-Long Island (329, +45) and Rosemont (487, +203) at the 6,700-yard, par-71 High Bridge Hills Golf Club.
Junior
Matt Scozzari (Kinnelon, N.J./Kinnelon) tied for third place with a seven-over-par 78. Classmate
Shane Edwards (Newton, N.J./Newton) posted a 79 (+8) to tie for fifth. Junior
Jim Bakelaar (Midland Park, N.J./Midland Park) shot an 82 (+11) to finish 12th, and classmate
Matt Deering (Howell, N.J./St. John Vianney) was 19th with an 88 (+17). Senior
Alex Burdi (Oak Ridge, N.J./Jefferson Twp.) rounded out the group with a 110.
Stevens' John Zeigler was the individual medalist with a four-over-par 75.
The Pioneers will host Purchase Monday, April 11, at Farmstead Golf Course at 12:30 p.m.
