HUMMELS WHARF, PA. – The William Paterson men's golf team (1-0) was sixth of 14 teams (330, +50) at the Susquehanna Invitational April 21.
Junior
Matt Scozzari (Kinnelon, N.J./Kinnelon) tied for seventh overall with a seven-over-par 77 at the par-70 Susquehanna Valley Country Club. Classmate
Shane Edwards (Newton, N.J./Newton) posted an 83 (+13), followed by junior
Matt Deering (Howell, N.J./St. John Vianney) with an 84 (+14), classmate
Paul Link (Wayne, N.J./Hazleton, Pa.) with an 86 (+16) and junior
Jim Bakelaar (Midland Park, N.J./Midland Park) with a 93 (+23).
Host Susquehanna won the team title with a 310 (+30), and Manhattan's Chris Calabro and Wilkes' Bob Hillibush carded 75s to lead the individual leaderboard.
William Paterson will finish its season Tuesday, April 26, competing against Wilkes and Scranton at the Wilkes-Barre Municipal Golf Course at 1:00 p.m.
