PENNSAUKEN, N.J. – The William Paterson men's golf team (1-0) finished seventh of 12 schools at the Rutgers-Camden Spring Invitational April 15 with a final score of 342 (+62) at the par-70 Pennsauken Country Club.
Junior
Matt Scozzari (Kinnelon, N.J./Kinnelon) led the Pioneers with an 80 (+10), followed by classmate
Shane Edwards (Newton, N.J./Newton) with an 85 (+15), junior
Jim Bakelaar (Midland Park, N.J./Midland Park) with an 88 (+18), junior
Matt Deering (Howell, N.J./St. John Vianney) with an 89 (+19) and senior
Alex Burdi (Oak Ridge, N.J./Jefferson Twp.) with a 109 (+39).
Penn State Abington took the top team spot with a 319 (+39). Cabrini's Mike Ryan was the medalist with a low round of 75.
William Paterson will play at the Misericordia Invitational Monday, April 18, at 12:30 p.m.
