PURCHASE, N.Y. – The William Paterson men's swimming team (2-1) posted a 147-123 victory at Purchase (0-1) Nov. 1.

Junior Brian Birkbeck (Absecon, N.J./Holy Spirit) won the 100 free (53.36), and classmate Anthony Porzio (Toms River, N.J./Toms River North) touched first in the 1,000 free (11:15.19). Junior Edward Zappile (Oak Ridge, N.J./Jefferson Twp.) was a double winner in the 200 (1:55.25) and 500 (5:17.5) frees, sophomore Sebastian Schrils (Washington, N.J./Warren Hills Regional) posted a victory in the 50 free (23.13), and freshman Jason Koros (Mays Landing, N.J./Oakcrest) finished first in the 200 IM (2:13.69). Junior Jeremy Lim (Clifton, N.J./Clifton) won the 100 fly (54.77) and sophomore Mazen Yousef (Toms River, N.J./Toms River East) took home a win in the 100 breast (1:05.91).

William Paterson will host SUNY Maritime Wednesday, Nov. 3, at 6:00 p.m.
