WAYNE, N.J. – Volleyball junior middle hitter Kelly Helfrich (Clark, N.J./Arthur L. Johnson) was named the William Paterson Pioneer of the Week Sept. 8.

Helfrich averaged 11.0 kills, 8.3 digs and 8.3 blocks per match in a 3-0 week for WP. She posted 10 kills, eight digs and six block solos while hitting .625 in a 3-0 win at Saint Elizabeth Sept. 3. On Sept. 6, Helfrich had a triple-double in a 3-2 win against St. Joseph’s-Long Island with 14 kills, 11 digs and 12 block solos, and added nine kills, six digs and seven block solos in a 3-0 win against Manhattanville.
