WAYNE, N.J. – Men’s basketball senior guard Bright Mensah (Hackensack, N.J./Hackensack) was selected as the Dec. 14 William Paterson Pioneer of the Week.
Mensah averaged 28.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals during two victories last week, shooting 22-for-37 (.595) from the field and 6-for-15 (.400) from three-point range. He poured in a career-high 33 tallies, knocking down 12 of his 21 (.571) attempts, and added four rebounds and two blocked shots during a 78-74 victory Dec. 9 at Montclair State. Mensah was then 10-for-16 (.625) for a game-high 24 points, chipping in seven boards, two assists and three steals in an 85-55 win against FDU-Florham Dec. 12.
