WAYNE, N.J. – Sophomore softball pitcher Allison Podmajersky (Red Bank, N.J./Middletown South) was named the April 27 William Paterson Pioneer of the Week.
Podmajersky was 3-0 with a 0.88 ERA in three appearances (two starts) last week, posting 13 strikeouts and two walks in 16.0 innings pitched. She tossed a 3-0 shutout at No. 9 Rowan April 21, scattering four hits with five strikeouts, then came away with the victories during both games of a doubleheader sweep April 25 at Stockton. Podmajersky earned a 5-2 complete-game win during the opener against the Ospreys, collecting four strikeouts, and she tossed the final 2.0 scoreless innings of an 8-3, nine-inning win in the night cap, striking out four with one hit allowed.
