WAYNE, N.J. – Men’s basketball junior guard Rick DeStefano (Marlboro, N.J./Marlboro) was named the William Paterson Pioneer of the Week for Jan. 16.

DeStefano’s three-pointer with 1:18 remaining lifted the Pioneers to a 69-67 victory Jan. 11 against Rutgers-Newark, and he scored 14 points on 4-for-6 (.667) shooting from beyond the arc to help the Pioneers earn a 67-56 win Jan. 14 at Kean.
