WAYNE, N.J. – Men’s swimming junior Edward Zappile (Oak Ridge, N.J./Jefferson Twp.) was named the William Paterson Pioneer of the Week for Jan. 31.

Zappile touched first in the 500 (5:10.11) and 1,000 (10:43.31) frees, one of four double winners for the Pioneers during a 134-93 victory against Post Jan. 29. With the first-place efforts, Zappile has registered 18 individual victories this season, and seven times has been a double winner.
