BASKING RIDGE, N.J. – The William Paterson golf team tied for sixth place at the 12-team Battle at Basking Ridge April 13.
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

• Freshman Adam Avery (Butler, N.J./Butler) collected four birdies to card a season-low 78 (+7, tied-13th) at the par-71, 6,906 yard Basking Ridge Country Club.
• Senior Gavin Deeken (Waldwick, N.J./Waldwick) and junior Rob Egan (Chester, N.Y./Saint Joseph Regional) each posted scores of 84 (+13, tied-33rd).
• Sophomore Luke Dube (Bethel, Conn./Joel Barlow) tallied an 88 (+17, tied-47th), and senior Nicholas Petti (Wayne, N.J./Passaic County Tech) shot a 90 (+19, tied-53rd).
• William Paterson posted a team total of 334 (+50). Host Stevens shot 296 (+12) to take the team title, and the Ducks' Jack Harris was the individual medalist with an even-par 71.
