SHAWNEE-ON-DELAWARE, Pa. – The William Paterson golf team finished its spring schedule with a seventh-place finish April 22 at the Conquer the Island Tournament.
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

• Freshman Adam Avery (Butler, N.J./Butler) paced the Pioneers with a three-over 75, his lowest round of the season, to tie for sixth overall.
• Senior Nicholas Petti (Wayne, N.J./Passaic County Tech) and sophomore Luke Dube (Bethel, Conn./Joel Barlow) both carded rounds of 83 (+11), finishing in a tie for 29th place.
• Senior Gavin Deeken (Waldwick, N.J./Waldwick) and junior Rob Egan (Chester, N.Y./Saint Joseph Regional) tied for 32nd with scores of 87 (+15).
• Drew led the eight-team field with a total score of 289 (+1) at the par-72, 6,800-yard Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort. The Rangers' Elliot Parker was the individual medalist with a four-under round of 68.
