WAYNE, N.J. – The No. 24/18 William Paterson women's basketball team (24-1, 18-0 NJAC) enters the NJAC Tournament as the top seed and will host fourth-seeded Stockton (16-10, 12-6 NJAC) in a semifinal matchup on Thursday, Feb. 26, at 6:00 p.m. at the Sports and Recreation Center.

WHAT'S AT STAKE
- The winner of the matchup between William Paterson and Stockton will advance to the championship on Sunday, March 1, against the winner of the other semifinal game between The College of New Jersey and Rutgers-Camden. The highest remaining seed will host the championship game at a time to be determined. The NJAC Tournament champion will receive an automatic bid to the 2026 NCAA Tournament.
WP IN THE NJAC TOURNAMENT
- The Pioneers are seeking their fourth conference title (1993, 2011, 2012).
SCOUTING THE PIONEERS
- William Paterson recorded one of its most historic regular seasons in program history, compiling a 24-1 overall record and an 18-0 mark in conference play.
- The Pioneers not only broke the program record for single-season NJAC wins but also tied the program record for the most wins during the regular season, tying the 2009-10 team that also went 24-1.
- WP finished the regular season with a perfect 11-0 record at the Sports and Recreation Center, marking the first time the Pioneers played to an undefeated mark at home since the 2011-12 campaign.
- The Pioneers enter tournament play on a 14-game win streak, the longest in program history since the 2009-10 season.
- Senior Renee Wells (Leonardo, N.J./Middletown South), who ranks seventh in program history in career points (1,455), averages a team-best 16.8 points per contest while registering 5.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.0 steals per game. The three-time all-conference honoree ranks second in the NJAC in scoring, third in field goal shooting percentage (.407, 154-of-378) and free-throw shooting percentage (.808, 80-of-99) and tied for fourth in steals per game and eighth in assists per game.
- Junior Jada Jacobs (Mount Laurel, N.J./Medford Tech) is totaling 9.9 points and 6.6 rebounds per tilt while leading the team with 3.8 assists and 3.5 steals per game. She sits atop the NJAC in steals and assists per game and ranks fourth in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.3).
- Senior Patty Walsh (Middletown, N.J./Middletown North) averages 11.0 points and a team-best 6.7 boards and 1.9 blocks per outing. She leads the conference in blocks per game and ranks ninth in boards per contest. The Middletown, N.J., native has logged four double-doubles this season.
SCOUTING THE OSPREYS
- Stockton went 15-10 overall and 12-6 in conference action during the regular season before earning a 67-60 home win against Montclair State in the NJAC Tournament quarterfinals Feb. 21.
- The Ospreys have fared well at home, playing to a 10-3 mark, but posted a 6-7 record away from Galloway, N.J., this season.
- Freshman Zemirah Enalls leads the team in scoring and rebounding, averaging 11.5 points and 11.3 rebounds per contest while shooting 61 percent (119-of-196) from the floor. She's logged 10 double-doubles, including a 24-point and 19-rebound performance against the Red Hawks in the quarterfinals.
- Freshman Bre Evans puts up 10.5 points per game and is the team's primary ball distributor, dishing out 2.8 assists per outing.
EARLIER THIS SEASON
- William Paterson swept Stockton during the regular season, claiming a 58-49 Dec. 6 home win before securing a 60-51 road victory Jan. 24.
- Wells had a game-high 21 points in the first meeting with the Ospreys, before posting a 14-point performance in the regular season series finale.
- Jacobs went for a career-high 20 points and 13 boards in the matchup in Galloway, N.J.
