WAYNE, N.J. – Junior
Karim Nasser (Willingboro, N.J./Burlington County Institute of Technology) and senior
James Nevels (Wilmington, Del./Delaware Military Academy) were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Football Team Jan. 6.
The 2025 Academic All-District® Football Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at their current institution. No student-athlete is eligible until they have completed one full calendar year at their current institution and is at least a sophomore academically and athletically.
Nasser, an accounting major, appeared in all 10 games during his junior campaign. The Willingboro, N.J., native recorded 25 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks.
Nevels started all 10 outings in his final season, totaling 59 tackles, 2.0 tackles of loss, four interceptions, two touchdowns, three pass breakups and a forced fumble. The sport management major finished tied for second in the New Jersey Athletic Conference and first on the team in interceptions.
