Women's Swimming and Diving Earns Commanding 133-34 Home Win Over Lehman

WAYNE, N.J. - The William Paterson women's swimming and diving team (9-2) stretched its winning streak to nine meets with a commanding 133-34 win over Lehman College (2-10) on Jan 20.

TOP PERFORMERS:
  • Sophomore Katelyn Antonoff (Hillsborough, N.J./Hillsborough) posted first-place finishes in the 1000 free (12:03.33), 100 back (1:09.68) and 100 breast (1:16.58).
  • Senior Sarah Gomez (Paterson, N.J./Passaic County Tech) triumphed in the 200 free (2:12.28) and 100 fly (1:07.47).
  • Sophomore Skylar Coleman (Fair Lawn, N.J./Fair Lawn) finished first in the 50 free (29.51).
  • Freshman Adaya Bourne (Saunders, Sint Maarten/Milton Peters College) touched the wall first in the 200 IM (2:31.13).
  • Sophomore Frances Gomes (Kearny, N.J./Kearny) was victorious in the 100 free (1:03.84).
  • Sophomore Sarah Churchill (Washington Twp., N.J./Westwood) won the 500 free (6:25.09).
  • WP won the 200 medley relay, with efforts from Coleman, Gomez, Bourne, and Gomes, finishing with a time of 2:30.97.
  • The Pioneers were victorious in the 200 free relay, with efforts from Bourne, Coleman, Churchill, and sophomore Cassandra Ashworth (Totowa, N.J./Homeschool), finishing with a time of 1:46.18.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  • Frances Gomes (Kearny, N.J./Kearny) recorded a new personal best in the 100 free (1:03.84).
UP NEXT:
  • William Paterson travels to Bard College on Saturday, Jan. 24 for a 1:00 p.m. meet.
