Women's Swimming and Diving Extends Win Streak with Home Victory Over Bard

WAYNE, N.J. - The William Paterson women's swimming and diving team (10-2) recorded its 10th straight win on Jan. 24, posting a 144-18 victory over Bard (1-5) at Wightman Pool.
TOP PERFORMERS:
  • Sophomore Sarah Churchill (Washington Twp., N.J./Westwood) finished first in the 500 free (6:33.26) and 1000 free (12:56.52).
  • Sophomore Skylar Coleman (Fair Lawn, N.J./Fair Lawn) triumphed in the 200 free (2:20.18) and 100 back (1:15.93).
  • Freshman Adaya Bourne (Saunders, Sint Maarten/Milton Peters College) posted first-place finishes in the 50 free (26.07) and 100 free (58.91).
  • Sophomore Katelyn Antonoff (Hillsborough, N.J./Hillsborough) was victorious in the 100 IM (1:09.69).
  • Senior Sarah Gomez (Paterson, N.J./Passaic County Tech) secured victory in the 100 fly (1:06.24) and 100 breast (1:15.88).
  • Freshman Joelle Royster (Silver Spring, Md./Wheaton) won the one meter dive (192.90).
  • Sophomore Cassandra Ashworth (Totowa, N.J./Homeschool) placed first in the three meter dive (155.90)
  • WP won the 400 medley relay, with efforts from Antonoff, Gomez, sophomore Frances Gomes (Kearny, N.J./Kearny), and Bourne, finishing with a time of 4:39.06.
  • The Pioneers placed first in the 200 free relay, with efforts from Churchill, Gomes, sophomore Dalisha Romero (Perth Amboy, N.J./Perth Amboy), and Coleman, finishing with a time of 2:02.64.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  • Royster posted a new personal best score in the one meter dive (192.90).

  • William Paterson hosts Ramapo on Tuesday, January 27, for a 5:00 p.m. meet.
