PITMAN, N.J. – William Paterson freshman Adaya Bourne (Saunders, Sint Maarten/Milton Peters College) was named the Dec. 15 New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Women's Swimming and Diving Rookie of the Week.

Bourne posted a personal-best time (25.77) to win the 50 free during a 125-64 team triumph Dec. 9 against John Jay.
 
Bourne is the third Pioneer to be honored by the league office this season, as freshman Joelle Royster (Silver Spring, Md./Wheaton) was the Nov. 17 NJAC Diver of the Week and sophomore Cassandra Ashworth (Totowa, N.J./Homeschool) was the Dec. 8 Diver of the Week.

The Pioneers (7-2) return to action Saturday, Jan. 17, at SUNY Delhi at 1:00 p.m.
