PITMAN, N.J. – Senior James Nevels (Wilmington, Del./Delaware Military Academy) was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Football Defensive Player of the Week Sept. 29.

He recorded eight tackles and returned two interceptions for touchdowns during a 38-14 come-from-behind win at Moravian Sept. 27. He also played a pivotal role in shutting out the Greyhounds' offense in the final three quarters of the contest.

Nevels and the Pioneers return to action Saturday, Oct. 4, to host Vermont State Castleton for a 1:00 p.m. conference game.
