Six Pioneers Earn All-NJAC Football Team Honors

PITMAN, N.J. – Six Pioneers were named to the All-New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Football Team Nov. 21.

Seniors Anthony Macera (Rockaway, N.J./Morris Hills) and James Nevels (Wilmington, Del./Delaware Military Academy), along with sophomore Joseph Pressley (Allentown, Pa./Pemberton), earned a First-Team All-NJAC selection. Senior Jayce Harmon (Milford, Del./Sussex Tech) was named to the second team, while junior Gavin Rembert (West Orange, N.J./West Orange) and sophomore Spencer Ribitzki (West Milford, N.J./West Milford) received honorable mention laurels.

Anthony Macera (Rockaway, N.J./Morris Hills): All-NJAC First Team
Macera started all seven NJAC contests, recording 37 tackles, two interceptions and a pass breakup. He finished tied for second in the conference in interceptions, tied for 11th in solo stops (24) and tied for 13th in passes defended (3).  

James Nevels (Wilmington, Del./Delaware Military Academy): All-NJAC First Team
Nevels compiled 41 tackles, two interceptions, two pass breakups and a forced fumble while starting all seven conference outings. He was tied for second in the NJAC in interceptions, tied for fourth in solo tackles (28), tied for seventh in passes defended (7) and tied for 14th in tackles.

Joseph Pressley (Allentown, Pa./Pemberton): All-NJAC First Team
Pressley started all six NJAC games he appeared in, logging 21 tackles, a team-best 7.5 tackles for loss and three sacks, while adding two pass breakups, two forced fumbles and a safety. He finished tied for third in the conference in sacks and tied for fifth in tackles for loss.

Jayce Harmon (Milford, Del./Sussex Tech): All-NJAC Second Team
Harmon, now a two-time all-conference honoree, led the Pioneers in tackles (44) during conference games, adding three tackles for loss, two interceptions, a fumble recovery and an interception. The Milford, Del., native finished tied for second in the conference in interceptions, tied for seventh in assisted tackles (25), tied for ninth in tackles and tied for 15th in solo stops (19).  

Gavin Rembert (West Orange, N.J./West Orange): All-NJAC Honorable Mention
Rembert ranked second on the Pioneers in tackles (42) and tackles for loss (4.5) in seven conference contests. He added two sacks and a fumble recovery. The West Orange, N.J., native ended his junior campaign tied for fourth in the NJAC in fumbles recovered, tied for 12th in assisted tackles (21), tied for 13th in solo stops (21) and tied for 15th in sacks.

Spencer Ribitzki (West Milford, N.J./West Milford): All-NJAC Honorable Mention
Ribitizki was a mainstay on the WP offensive line during his sophomore campaign, starting all seven conference outings.
