LEXINGTON, Ky. – Sophomore
Bella Demers (Maumee, Ohio/Maumee) and junior
Kristian Glenn (Weston, Fla./Cypress Bay) were named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-Region IV Team Nov. 19.
It marks the second consecutive year that multiple Pioneers earned all-region honors.
Bella Demers (Maumee, Ohio/Maumee): All-Region IV First Team
Demers, the Co-New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Defensive Player of the Year, recorded a conference-best 572 digs and 5.06 digs per set. She closed out her first season with the Pioneers tied for 21st in the nation in digs and tied for 42nd in digs per set. The Maumee, Ohio, native is one of just three Pioneers to eclipse 500 digs in a single season.
Kristian Glenn (Weston, Fla./Cypress Bay): All-Region IV Honorable Mention
Glenn earned an All-NJAC Honorable Mention selection, finishing her junior campaign with 235 kills (2.24 kills/set) on a .301 hitting percentage while adding 49 total blocks. She logged double-digit kills in 11 outings, playing in 105 sets across 30 matches.
