Men's Swimming and Diving Completes Day Two of NJAC Championship

COLLEGE PARK, MD. – The William Paterson men's swimming and diving team sits in eighth place with 84 points to conclude day two of the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Championship Feb. 16.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  • Freshman Justin Melli (Erma, N.J./Lower Cape May Regional) posted a personal best during his 500 free preliminary performance (5:04.37).
  • Sophomore Nicky Byrd (Purchase, N.Y./Harrison) earned a personal record in the preliminary round of the 200 IM (2:12.13).
  • During the 50-free preliminary round freshman Max Russell (Wharton, N.J./Jefferson Twp.) (24.18), junior Ricardo Ordinola (Lodi, N.J./Passaic County Tech) (24.87) and junior Peter Usher (Boonton, N.J./Mountain Lakes) (25.99) shredded time off their personal bests.

UP NEXT:
  • William Paterson returns to the University of Maryland Natatorium for day three of the NJAC Championship on Friday, Feb. 17, with session one beginning at 9:30 a.m. and session two at 5:30 p.m.
