PITMAN, N.J. – William Paterson senior swimmer Joey Croce (Dumont, N.J./Dumont) and junior field hockey back Alicia Mitchell (Parsippany, N.J./Parsippany Hills) garnered spots on the 2020-21 Academic All-New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) First Team, leading a list of 83 WP honorees. The 83 selections are the most ever for the Pioneers.

Senior softball outfielder Vanessa Archibold (Saddle Brook, N.J./Saddle Brook) and senior baseball outfielder Steven DiGirolamo (Dumont, N.J./Dumont) were second-team selections, while 79 other Pioneers received honorable-mention laurels.

Croce has been a Dean's List student every semester as a biology major. An inductee of Chi Alpha Sigma, he earned a spot on the 2018-19 and 2019-20 Academic All-NJAC Teams.

A member of the 2019-20 Academic All-NJAC Honorable Mention, Mitchell has appeared in 19 career contests with 10 starts and has been named to the Dean's List every semester. An athletic training major, she has also been a three-time recipient of the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Scholar of Distinction and the National Academic Squad awards.

Archibold is a three-time all-conference selection, posting a .333 average, 26 RBI, 86 runs scored and 69 stolen bases while starting 118 of 134 career appearances. A double major in sociology and psychology, she has been a Dean's List student every summer, was inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma, and was named to the 2019 and 2020 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Softball Academic All-District First Teams. Archibold garnered a spot on the 2017-18, 2018-19 and 2019-20 Academic All-NJAC Honorable Mentions and was a 2017 and 2019 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-America Scholar Athlete.

A starter in all 123 career appearances, DiGirolamo has garnered all-conference and all-region accolades, recording a .345 batting average with 181 hits, 81 RBI, 35 doubles, 15 triples and five home runs while scoring 133 runs. A finance major, he has made the Dean's List every semester at WP and is a member of Chi Alpha Sigma, the 2020 CoSIDA Academic All-America Third Team and the 2018-19 and 2019-20 Academic All-NJAC Honorable Mentions.
