Spring 2021 Spectator Policy

Two guests per William Paterson University student-athlete will be permitted to attend intercollegiate athletics events held on the WP campus during the Spring 2021 semester.

No other spectators will be permitted, including anyone from the visiting institution.

  • Each student-athlete will have to submit the names of their two guests before each home event. Guests will be required to show ID upon arrival for every contest.
  • All guests will be required to wear a face covering at all times while on campus, and must maintain six feet of physical distance from all non-household members at all times.
  • Guests will be required to check their own temperature before leaving home, and also must complete the health screening form. If you have a temperature above 100.4 and/or you have any COVID-like symptoms, please do not come to campus, as you will not be permitted to enter the facility. Please print a health screening form for each person, complete it, and bring it with you to campus. If you do not have a printer, hard copies will be available when you arrive.
  • Upon arrival, a member of the WP Athletics staff will check your ID and collect your health screening form. At volleyball, a temperature check also will be required. You will be given a bracelet to wear, which indicates you have been cleared.
  • Guests must sit in the seats that are clearly marked at each facility, except tennis. At tennis, you must remain outside of the courts' fencing and stay six feet away from all non-household members.
  • The non-locker room restrooms are available for your use. Face covering and physical distancing protocols must be followed.
  • After the contest ends, please leave the facility immediately. Loitering (in the lobby, near the gates, near dugouts/benches, etc.) before, during or after the contest will not be permitted. Any post-contest meetings with student-athletes and/or coaches must be socially distanced from others who are in the same general area. At the Sports and Recreation Center, any post-match meeting must be conducted outdoors.
