WAYNE, N.J. –William Paterson senior first baseman/designated hitter
Adam Derner (River Edge, N.J./River Dell Regional) was named to the D3baseball.com “Team of the Week” for the second consecutive week on April 10.
Derner batted .458 (11-for-24) with a .958 slugging percentage. He had four home runs, 13 RBI and an on-base percentage of .533 for the Pioneers. Derner went 2-for-4 with three RBI and two runs scored in an 11-5 victory against St. Joseph's-Long Island. In an 8-3 win against Drew, Derner was 3-for-4 with two home runs, five RBI and two runs scored. On April 5, he was 2-for-3 with a RBI and a run scored in a 7-2 conference victory at New Jersey City. The senior DH went a combined 4-for-9 with four RBI, a home and three singles in a sweep of Richard Stockton.
The Pioneers (20-5, 5-1 NJAC) will visit the College of Staten Island Wednesday, April 11, at 4:00 p.m.
