WAYNE, N.J. – Softball junior outfielder Christina Zippler (Blackwood, N.J./Washington Twp.) was named the William Paterson Pioneer of the Week April 6.

 

Zippler posted three hits, including a three-run home run, and scored twice for the Pioneers last week. During the first game of a doubleheader against No. 20 Ramapo April 5, the center fielder was 1-for-2 at the plate against the Roadrunners. In the first inning of the night cap, her three-run homer over the left-field fence helped lift the Pioneers to a 5-3 victory, and she finished the day 2-for-3 with two runs scored and four putouts.
