WAYNE, N.J. – Men’s basketball senior guard Courtney Nelson (Newark, N.J./Bloomfield Tech) was named the William Paterson Pioneer of the Week Nov. 24.

Nelson averaged 18.5 points per game to earn a spot on the Gordon College Tip-Off All-Tournament Team. He had a team-best 17 points and two assists, adding two rebounds, in a 73-65 win against Wesleyan in the first round Nov. 21. Nelson then scored a team-high 20 points, shooting 8-for-16 from the floor, and added two assists in a 68-67 loss to Gordon in the championship game Nov. 22.
