WAYNE, N.J. – Baseball senior first baseman Trevor Haughney (Old Bridge, N.J./Old Bridge) was named the March 17 William Paterson Pioneer of the Week.

Haughney hit .615 (8-13) with seven RBI and two runs scored during a 3-1 season-opening week for WP. He went 2-for-4 with a triple and two RBI during the season opener March 11 at Farmingdale State, and drove in a run during a 6-5 win March 15 against Suffolk. Haughney was a combined 5-for-6 with a double, run and four RBI during a 5-3, 9-3 sweep of Worcester State March 16.
