WAYNE, N.J. – Softball freshman outfielder Nicole Fryer (East Stroudsburg, Pa./East Stroudsburg South) was named the March 24 William Paterson Pioneer of the Week.
Fryer hit .523 (12-23) from the leadoff spot during a 5-1 week for the Pioneers, finishing with three RBI and seven runs scored while going 4-for-4 on stolen-base attempts. She was 3-for-4, drove in a run, crossed the plate twice and stole a pair of bases during a 5-4 victory against Macalester March 18, then finished 3-for-5 against Wisconsin-Stevens Point March 19. Fryer went 2-for-4 and scored a run in a 2-0 win against Bethany March 19, and went 2-for-4 while stealing two bases and posting an RBI during a 7-2 victory against Framingham State March 21.
