WAYNE, N.J. – Senior baseball shortstop Victor Sanchez (Haverstraw, N.Y./North Rockland) was selected as the Feb. 29 William Paterson Pioneer of the Week.
 
Sanchez went 3-for-5 with an RBI and run scored during a 9-8 comeback victory Feb. 27 in the season opener at Stevens. His one-out RBI-single in the top of the ninth tied the game at 8-8 as WP rallied from an 8-0 deficit to come away with the victory.
