Field hockey senior back Marissa Horner (Roebling, N.J./Florence) was named William Paterson’s Female Pioneer of the Week for Nov. 5.

Horner scored her first goal of the season, and fourth of her career, in an 11-0 Senior Night victory against SUNY New Paltz Nov. 1. A starter at back in all 18 games this season, she helped the Pioneers post a pair of shutout victories last week, including a 1-0 triumph at Ramapo Oct. 30.
