WAYNE, N.J. – Baseball junior first baseman Adam Derner (River Edge, N.J./River Dell Regional) was named the William Paterson Pioneer of the Week for March 28.

 

Derner hit .467 in five games, contributing two doubles, a home run, seven RBI, five runs scored and four walks. He was 3-for-4 with a double, homer, two runs and four RBI during a 10-4 win against Manhattanville March 22. Derner then was 2-for-3 in a 5-2 victory against Stevens March 26, and had a two-run double during a 12-4 win against Utica March 27.
