WAYNE, N.J. – Women’s basketball junior forward April Smith (Barnegat, N.J./Southern Regional) was named the William Paterson Pioneer of the Week Nov. 30.

Smith averaged 17.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.0 steals per game as the Pioneers improved to 5-0 this season. She posted 14 points, four rebounds, an assist, two blocked shots and three steals during a 71-52 victory at Stevens Nov. 24, and compiled a game-best 20 points and seven rebounds, adding three steals, in a 79-54 win at FDU-Florham Nov. 29.
