WAYNE, N.J. – Men’s basketball junior guard Joseph Ellis (Newark, N.J./Newark Science) was named the William Paterson Pioneer of the Week Jan. 5.

Ellis averaged 14.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game in two victories last week for the 9-1 Pioneers. He posted 16 points, five rebounds and four assists during a 65-64 win at Lehman Dec. 29, and had a game-high 12 points in a balanced team effort during a 62-34 win at CCNY Dec. 30.
