WAYNE, N.J. – Football junior defensive back Chris Thomas (West Milford, N.J./West Milford) was named the William Paterson Pioneer of the Week Oct. 19.

Thomas tied for the team lead with eight tackles as William Paterson celebrated Homecoming with a 43-28 victory against The College of New Jersey Oct. 17.  He had six solo stops and a pass broken up, and his interception and 22-yard return set up a one-yard Marcus McKinney TD on the next play (14-14, 3:47/second).  Thomas also returned one punt 16 yards, and three kickoffs 71 yards (long of 30) for 109 all-purpose yards.
