WAYNE, N.J. – Senior
Lorenzo Assante (Montville, N.J./Montville Twp.) and junior
Luke Fournier (Secaucus, N.J./Secaucus) of the William Paterson golf team, along with junior
Carly Horn (Pompton Lakes, N.J./Pompton Lakes) of the field hockey team, were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District At-Large Team June 17.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® At-Large Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. To be nominated, a student-athlete must be in the lineup for 70 percent of an institution's days of competition with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at their current institution. No student-athlete is eligible until they have completed one full calendar year at their current institution and is at least a sophomore academically and athletically.
As a management major, Assante competed in nine rounds while averaging 87.0 strokes.
Fournier, a physical education major, averaged 97.25 strokes during eight rounds.
Horn, who double majors in English and early childhood education, started all 15 games while scoring a goal and dishing out an assist.
