Results 

WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson golf team posted a season-best total to place second of five teams at its own Preakness Invitational April 28.
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

• The Pioneers finished with a 324 (+44) at the par-70, 6,322-yard Preakness Valley Golf Course – West.
• Junior Gavin Deeken (Waldwick, N.J./Waldwick) paced WP with a seven-over 77 to tie for fourth place.
• Junior Rob Egan (Chester, N.Y./Saint Joseph Regional) carded an 80 (+10, sixth), junior Nicholas Petti (Wayne, N.J./Passaic County Tech) had an 81 (+11, tied-seventh), senior Lorenzo Assante (Montville, N.J./Montville Twp.) posted an 86 (+16, 14th) and junior Luke Fournier (Secaucus, N.J./Secaucus) scored a 94 (+24, tied-24th).
• Competing as individuals, junior Brandon Bang (Roxbury, N.J./Roxbury) had a 90 (+20, tied-1th), senior Emily Feola (Lake Hiawatha, N.J./Parsippany) carded a 107 (+37, 29th) and junior Michael Romanelli (Vernon, N.J./Vernon Twp.) finished with a 111 (+41, 31st).
• Stevens took the team (313, +33) and individual (Noah Eide, 72, +2) titles.
