The Pioneers were bested 11-10 in the series opener before falling 12-11 in the finale that went 10 innings.
GAME ONE:
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Pioneers wasted no time, jumping out to an early 4-0 advantage in the opening frame. Junior Dylan Santos (Nutley, N.J./Nutley) then singled up the middle before later scoring on a costly fielding miscue by the Rowan defense with two outs to make it a four-run game (6-2).

- Rowen evened the score at 6-6 in the fourth on a three-run home run.
- The Profs took their first lead of the afternoon (10-6) after a four-run sixth inning.
- With one out in the top of the ninth, the Pioneers had two runners on with one out when Ramirez notched an RBI double to left. Santos then drove in two runs with a single up the middle to make it a one-run game (10-9). Two batters later, Kobylakiewicz delivered a timely base knock with a pair of Pioneers on the bases, to tie the game at 10-10.
